"The task of building a truly creative society is not a game of
solitaire. This game, we play as a team." Richard Florida - The
Rise of the Creative Class
I've had the privilege of working with some amazingly talented
people over the years. I cut my teeth in online marketing in 1996,
when Ride Snowboards hired me to write the copy for their first
website. I knew nothing about the web or online marketing at that
point. Nobody did.
A few years later I helped form Groovetech.com, one of the real
pioneers in streaming video online. We built an international
community of DJs and music fans all tuning in to Groovetech to
watch live streaming music sets from venues in Seattle, San
Francisco, London, Rio, Detroit and NYC.
I've been all about the web ever since then.
For me, Good Chemistry is a lot more than simply the name of my
company. It's a perspective shared between a whole lotta
people.
I've never ceased to be amazed at the creativity that's possible
when people work together and collaborate. The social web has
opened up all kinds of new opportunities for creativity to
flourish.
Ultimately, I formed Good Chemistry because I believe harnessing
that creative energy makes good business sense. There's a lot of
power in the collective conversations going on across the web these
days. Developing ways to tap into that power is something every
smart company should be thinking about.
I'd like to hear what you're thinking.
Email me and let's get the
conversation started.
